Pilates for Back Pain

As someone who has been suffering chronic back pain for over 10 years and recently being diagnosed with fibromyalgia, pilates is one of the best things I have done for myself. Within 8 lessons I noticed an improvement in my mobility and flexibility, as well my general well-being. Pilates for Scoliosis

One thing that I genuinely appreciate Pilates for is what it has been doing for my spine. I have scoliosis and every now and then there's pain that comes with it. Nothing helps more than a few movements that Saskia has taught in her Pilates classes. (Extra: I've always hated how my shoulder sticks out due to the curve of my spine. Pilates, despite only going for one class a week, has resulted in my shoulder not sticking out as much as it used to. Obviously the curve of my spine isn't fixed, but the slight change in the way my shoulder bone looks has made me extremely happy. Thank you.)

Pilates for Balance

As I’ve aged and have never exercised before, I’ve found it increasingly difficult to keep my balance while doing something as simple as walking across uneven ground. After doing pilates with Saskia for only 3 months, I am starting to feel more stable and stronger, and therefore more confident. I look forward to doing Pilates for a very long time to come!
